2024 - MOVEMENT: Attire Art
MANIFESTO
In the last two decades, (digital) arts have undergone profound evolution—from Post-Internet Art to Metamodernism, NFTs, and movements like Relation Aesthetics, Afrofuturism, Eco-Art, and Stuckism. It is from these past movements that Attire Art emerges. Where? Texas - DFW Area When? Summer 2024 Mantra: Festina lente (Make haste slowly) CONCEPT: We live in a world where our phones, computers, homes, and spaces are containers of art. We store, display, and engage with art on our own terms—when we want, how we want, alone or with others. Attire Art redefines the relationship between fashion and art, merging the notion of accessories with that of art pieces.
Just as garments and homes are essential tools for survival—protecting us from nature, the elements, and others—so too can these creations transcend their practical function and become expressions of our individuality. Why should art be confined to galleries and museums? Why not allow ourselves to be the canvas, the display, the stand for a personal work of art?
Attire Art aims to reconnect with a deeper tradition of craftsmanship, reviving unique, personal tailoring at the highest level. These pieces are created not just for protection or adornment, but as an extension of the wearer’s essence—crafted with care, precision, and meaning. They are not merely fashion; they are living art.
Art is meant to be created together. Art is meant to be felt. Art is meant to walk forward, while honoring the past. Guidelines for Attire Art Creations:
The creation must bear the NTP seal—a mark of quality and authenticity.
Each piece must be commissioned.
Each creation must be registered as unique and single—no more than one piece per person.
All creations must be made in North Texas.
